General Information for release of Hydrological Data

 

(i)                  The request (in Hydrological Data Request Form  and “Secrecy Undertakings”) for release of Hydrological Data may be addressed to the concerned field Chief Engineer of Central Water Commission. (official addresses of field formations of Central Water Commission)  A brief about the methodology, purpose, geographical study area and duration of the concerned work/study should be provided along with the Data Request Form.

 

(ii)               The hydrological data may be released by the concerned Chief Engineer of Central Water Commission to the Central/State Government Departments/ Organizations, Academic Institutions and Research Organizations of India for use for specific purpose after ascertaining its legitimacy/justification.

 (iii)             After examination as above, the Central/State Government Departments/ Organizations, Academic Institutions and Research Organizations of India would be informed about the postal/media charges, if any, to be paid by them by the concerned field formation of Central Water Commission. .( under intimation to Member (RM) , CWC alongwith copy of data request letter) 

 

(iv)             The data requested for would be released to the Central/State Government Departments/ Organizations, Academic Institutions and Research Organizations of India after the receipt of “Secrecy Undertakings” and the requisite postal/media charges. ( under intimation to Chairman, CWC and Member(RM), CWC)
